American pride or tongue in cheek, not sure which pool this plays in but for it’s simple beauty in color and composition I am sold. Olivia Bee photographs the youth of the nation finding all their pride on their painted steeds. Enjoy more work from the beautiful and talented Olivia Bee below.
It’s a gray day in LA today and this feature couldn’t have come across at a better time. This is how I see it, imagine that summer has already passed and the gray days of fall are upon us. The aqua, becomes metallic, the golden glows become gray haze. Lara Bacchiega captures these moments and nostalgia seeps from the edges of the photographs.
But wait, summer hasn’t even started yet! We have months of sun, friends, parties, late bbq evenings, watching sunrises, poolside make-outs, under-the-stars dancing ahead of us. Don’t let summer pass you by without taking full advantage of it, and Lara Bacchiega reminds us of this in a simple beautiful way.
A visual excerpt from the works of Rog Walker -
“I’ve always been the socially awkward kid with poor communication skills, so visual communication has been a means to speak where words fall short. I’m all about translating ideas into visual elements and telling vast cultural stories via my lens. This isn’t a hobby. There’s a quote from the beginning of the Eame’s Documentary that says, “For them, the name’s like ‘painter’ and ‘architect’ — they weren’t job descriptions. They were ways of looking at the world.” This is the way I look at the world.”

Joel Sossa shows us once more that it’s not about just taking a picture, it’s about capturing the right moment with just the right people. He makes it look so easy, but for any of you whom have shot a lookbook or editorial attempting to stage scenes like this, you know it’s not that simple.
