There's tons of cheesy inspirational quotes out there flooding the internet, and rarely does one come across a collection that offers some profound wisdom—like this one.

Polish painter Zdzisław Beksiński (*1929 – †2005) portrayed mostly what many would describe as "grim", "haunting", "nightmarish" or "apocalyptic". Interestingly enough, this stands in contrast to the artist's own perception who liked to see his artworks as "rather optimistic or even humorous".
