our take: A portrait can be a daunting task to shoot because usually your models are beautiful, or interesting, so it’s your task to show the rest of the world exactly that. Then there is a conversation with the model that sometimes evokes a new image that wouldn’t be there with just person standing there. Russell knows how to work with people and it shows.
