It’s always exciting to see what happens when two creative individuals (strong emphasis on this word) get together to film and edit a surf session together. The waves in this video are better than average and the surfing is undeniably good as well. It’s not Dane doing a 10ft air, Mick Fanning going 100mph, or Greg Long riding a 50ft wave – and I’m glad that it is not. Critter Baugh and Erik Derman surfing some remote location, the unique camera angles, the slowed-down video, the creative process, no budget, no video production crews – those are things that I can connect to and appreciate.
