Billie Danger hails from Mexico and lives in Vancouver BC. Not only does he take photos, but he’s a phenomenal DJ as well. We met Billie through some friends and we were immediately intrigued by his musical taste as he proceeded to play a chain of tracks that we’d never heard, but we continued to ask over and over who they were by, because they were that good. Billie channels some seriously amazing energy and it shows with everything he does. His latino heritage seems to influences his work and we love the tasteful way he incorporates these themes into his photography and music.
In this Witness This feature we really want to let his art speak for itself. We asked Billie to make an exclusive mix just for WT, and just this week our wish came true. What we are left with is a very special set that dances along the lines of deep house, nu-disco, and hip-hop. There are moments when the genres blend so seamlessly together that we believe new un-named genre’s emerge.
